I drew this a while back in my art class... While being bad and procrastinating over the actual assignment... Can't remember it, it was done last year.
The coloring was done using our class set of Copic markers, and I think it turned out well enough. Except for the blotch somewhere on the tail... Stupid copic dripped on the page... Made me wanna cry. T-T
Copics are $6. They're good, but very expensive, and smell funny cause they're alcohol based. Fibracolor are good to learn with, cause the set of 100 you can get them in has a lot of colors that blend well. (You can get a good blood effect with like... Five of the reds in the fibracolor set.) And they're much less expensive. Like, less than $1 a pen. lol (Maybe 25 cents each. I forgot the price.)
If I get creative again, you'll get a dragon. ^_^ I can only manage them when I'm feeling particularly inspired.
Awesome! Heh. I can't... kinda draw dragons...kinda. But not like yours. Actually I could put up a picture I drew earlier this year of a dragon head that had started out originally as me drawing a hoodie... ._>'' Heh...it was odd.
But thanks for the info! Now I really need to go shopping. ...I swear I'm going to drive myself penniless just buying art supplies. I'm already planning on buying some Prisma Color pencils...>.< Jeeze...they're so expensive! ._.'
but whee! [twiddles thumbs and hopes for inspiration...]
>.> ...Okay...uhm if you want to see... I put up my scribble of a dragon in my scraps section. That's the extent of my dragon drawing ability
Prismacolor pencils are awesome~ *_* That's what all my colored pencil work is done in, here. My mom had some, so I got to use them when I was younger, and now I have mine. Yay~ ^_^ Art supplies are always expensive. I always end up spending a lot on just a new sketchpad. @_@
I like it. I couldn't ever draw such a detailed close-up. If I did, it would just end up looking funky. It looks awesome, really. ^_^
...Jeeze! It seems like everyone but me has had some parents who used to do art and such. I've gotta collect all my supplies myself. My parents are always trying to figure out where I got the ability to draw or whatever... I love their stick people conversations.
But they always get so anal when I try to buy stuff. "Why's it so expensive? ...You can wait [yeah...till I save my own money! ]"
Heh. Silly people. But aw! That can't be true! I'm sure it'd look just as awesome as anything you'd make! Uh-huh!
[Heh...That replying thing was going so far right...]
My parents are kinda supportive, like they don't hold me back or anything. But they don't particularly understand the situation much... Like when I go out to buy supplies. Always asking why it's so expensive.
I can get my dad to give in, but my mom's pretty strick and tight with her money. She'd never, ever buy me the stuff I need unless it's for a holiday or something
CLAY! I love clay In fact...I'm in a sculpting class this year. I hope we work with clay... I love getting dirty... Though apparently the art teacher for the class has certain criteria you can and can't do or what not.
She doesn't allow people to do art work based off of certain symbols like hearts. ...[twitch] Ugh. I HATE people who're like that. >.O isn't art supposed to be an expression of ones self and such? No limits!
My friend actually had a teacher sophomore year how wouldn't let her draw in her style! Which is anime. The teacher said it was cleche art... [blink] [blink] So my friend had to go through the year drawing backshots of everyone she drew! Geeze, if I was in her position I would've died!
Mine tell me to wait for them, and I get them for Christmas and the like. When I get a job I'll buy more copics, though. 8D (And all of the prismacolor pencils that I sharpened down to nothing... >_>
Depends on the time and the current budget, what I can get out of which parent. ^_^
First time I did it, I was all like "Ew! My hands are all GOOEY! DX" So I never really took a huge liking in pottery.
I have a drawing & painting teacher like that. He tells us to reproduce the style of a famous artist. It's like dude, lame. We have our own styles, whether or not he believes it.
That's ALSO what my D& teacher did. He said that "anime is copyrighted" which made me laugh at first, until it took me an entire class period to explain to him that it isn't. Now he lets me draw anime for the assignments.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
A Special Collection of photographs i found this month that still haunts my mind. Show them some love There are always some i can`t include due to space, i try to make the features under 50 deviations to give them better exposure
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

lol My mom does realism, like horses and stuff. So I just got to snatch her pencils when she stopped drawing.
My parents encourage me to buy stuff.=O They like that I'm so interested in drawing.
I'm careless with clay, cause it gets gooey on my hands. XD (It's kinda gross.)
[Yeah. XD We just have so much to saaaay~
